A Network Connecting School Leaders From Around The Globe
Alpha School, a private A.I.-driven educational model, uses a “2-Hour Learning” model. Each day, students engage in core academics for just two hours using A.I.-powered adaptive software. This software customizes instruction to each student’s individual level, allowing them to move at their own pace. The rest of the day is devoted to workshops in a variety of topics and projects, working with “guides,” not traditional teachers, who focus on motivation and support. Do you see this catching on?

I believe that the work children put into their essays should be read by a person rather than AI. It deserves a person with emotions to respond. |
Teachers get paid to grade and assess their own students. AI doesn't receive a paycheck from the district. Oxnard taxpayers and community members have agreed with me on my input. |
As long as the teachers reference the students' submitted work, and check the AI result to confirm it matches the rubric AI still needs a human reader !! |
Do not agree with this practice, but it may already be happening. |
This is a learning tool for the teacher to improve their skills in "what to look for." |
If we are asking students not to use AI to create their work, we shouldn’t be using it to score their work. |
AI can be used with teacher supervision not taking over the judgment of s teacher. |
I believe it could be done for some assessments, not all of them. The teacher/student connection is still very important. |
