It also allows people to read documents that were written in cursive. Without knowing it, they can't read it.

My husband works in a bank and tells me how many adults do not know how to "sign" their name for important documents.

It saddens me that in this digital society we have lost our identity AKA: our signature. I think everyone should know script. Especially how to sign their names.

Students still need to sign their names on legal documents. So teaching at least that may be important….but now that there is Docusign, who knows?

It's a vital foundational skill

It is very important! The government has let it go. Why?

Minimally, students need to have a signature. We have created a generation of people who can’t sign their own name.

It’s an art and travesty taken out of the curriculum. As a former teacher and Principal, it was very upsetting to parents and my staff. We had a writing sample as part of our hiring new teachers, and the handwriting was awful.

With so much tech, no one uses cursive. It’s a lovely art, but not required.

Fine motor skills, ease of taking notes, reading historical documents, and signature skills
