Please respond to the latest School Leadership 2.0 survey

Trump has signed a new executive order, officially named “Reinstating Common Sense Discipline Policies,” which singles out the “disparate impact” framework upon which many current school discipline policies are based. In other words, if the number of, say, Black students being suspended doesn’t match up proportionately to the Black population within the school or district, teachers and/or administrators can be presumed to be acting in a racially discriminatory manner. Are you in favor of this executive order?

Local school boards with parent opt-out rights.

Assuming that School Boards consult other stakeholders within the school district(s)

As each district has a different population, it has to be done locally. As a former Principal on Long Island, this MUST include teachers and administrators to collaborate on what is best for the community—

That is a very broad question- I may side with parents, they can opt out, but classes/credits can't be waived.

Combination of all. Curriculum committees are established by the board and include professionals and parents. Courts belong only if a serious allegation that a constitutional right is about to be violated.

Federal Courts and the US Supreme Court are best situated to decide these issues based on the US Constitution.

If you live in a racist or uninformed area, you can’t rise above that if you are limited to what local officials want.
