Chantee Lans speaks with high school students at BASH Awards

The Bash Awards were held at Hofstra University.
While we gather important feedback from our most recent BASH Awards Celebration and Learning Conference I want to share a local tv news report that covered the event.

This news package captures some of the essential elements that make BASH unique - an in person event in close proximity to school communities which celebrates student work that is adjudicated by professionals in broadcasting, journalism, and other communications media. There is both the freedom to create and the responsibility to do so with integrity that is at the core of why we are engaged in this important work with high school students.

Our goal is to replicate this type of access not only to a once a year event, but to a network of schools, educators, and students with the expressed purpose of strengthening student broadcast media in all schools, and to build small networks of student and teacher practitioners.
