A new law in Florida mandates parental consent for social media use for children under 16, with a complete ban for those under 14. Social media platforms failing to comply face the possibility of hefty fines, and the law extends age verification requirements to pornographic websites.  Do you approve of this legislation?

There needs to be some control over social media for children under the age of 18. They are seeing and reading things that are not appropriate for them.

But, how can they reinforce such a law to make it effective?

Should the government have control over legitimate use? II agree social media abuse can harm teens. and would like restrictions. I am not comfortable with government oversight. Would these laws be the beginning of limits by the government on free speech?

Technology and social media are like a drugs for the brains of young children. Children need less access to technology and social media.
