A Network Connecting School Leaders From Around The Globe
Anyone who studies American public education will come to a fork in the road: either the people in charge are incompetent or they are subversive.
Almost 8 years ago I bit the bullet. I decided that, even if you're talking about inmates in an asylum or people on heavy drugs, there is no way that so much mayhem and malfeasance could result from incompetence.
No, you will soon be forced to the conclusion that the people at the top are doing what they want and creating the results they want. Fabian Socialists always believed in working behind the scenes, promoting their people to the top, and slowly tearing down the system from within.
It's important to be realistic about all this. A lot of articles will discuss things in the schools as if they are weird little mistakes, like when the janitors forgot to order more paper towels. So somebody will make elaborate proposals to make sure the janitors are reminded. But consider the possibility that the janitors are part of a scheme to discredit paper towels, so the school will order electric drying machines. See? Now everything makes perfect sense.

I think genuine reform will be a lot easier to achieve if everybody earnestly tries to establish what the facts actually are.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
