A Network Connecting School Leaders From Around The Globe
There are many education critics or analysts who think they see a convergence at the very top of the society: rich capitalists somehow on the same page with far-left ideologues. Does that make sense?
But what exactly is a Bill Gates? He gave $1 billion, give or take, to force Common Core on the country. Many people think this will make the country dumber, despite all the rosy claims. But what's in it for Bill Gates?
My suspicion is that the public schools could NOT be so successfully dumbed down unless there are a lot of people at the top who more or less agree that this is an acceptable plan.
Which led me to ask the question: suppose you are a rich person… would you feel better knowing that the average guy is a dope??
I certainly don't. I want everybody to be educated to the maximum extent that they can handle it. Unfortunately, I think there are many extremely rich and powerful people who don't agree with that goal.
Maybe a lot of rich people (being very self-absorbed) support destructive policies without even realizing it. In which case, they need to wake up to what they are participating in. Here is a short article discussing this very elusive point: do you feel safer knowing that others are ignorant and illiterate?

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
