Public school teachers should take a stand (ASAP)

Arguably, the Education Establishment is hopelessly incompetent and/or ideologically sinister.

Teachers would probably have a much better life if they would pull back from the Education Establishment. To a remarkable degree, teachers exhibit what is called the Stockholm syndrome. They have been kidnapped by the Education Establishment but insist on being loyal.

The Education Establishment treats teachers almost contemptuously. Takes part of their salaries as dues. Makes teachers use methods that are ineffective. And spends  a lot of time dreaming up new paperwork and regulations that teachers have to live with.

Let's for the sake of proof look at the paradigm. For 65+ years the official dogma in this country was that children should memorize the English language one sight-word at a time. This started in 1930, more or less, and there was no relenting until about 2000. Completely insane. Criminal, I would say. It was the teachers who had to explain to parents on millions of separate occasions why Johnny couldn't read. It was the teachers who had to work doubly hard with this stupid method, all the time living with endless evidence that they were crippling their kids.

All of that pain and extra work was caused by a callous Education Establishment. Why didn't more teachers stand up and say, this isn't working, back off. Anyway, that would be the best reaction for everyone in this country.

And it would still be the best reaction. Here's an article that expands on this theme:
