I will make this as short as a tweet (maybe a little more.) While I understand the world is changing and we are moving away from the physical book, it is not just about paper vs. digital. To put it simply, there is something "human" about a book. There is something time-consuming and deliberate about writing on paper. Who actually believes that computers have made our students better readers and writers. If so, then show me the data. It is all about data. And my data says there is something good and sound and relaxing about curling up with a good book when the power goes out and we are reading by the afternoon light coming through the living room window.
