Dear Science Leaders LISELA the Long Island Science Education Leadership Association would like to invite you to attend our textbook and materials exhibit on October 26th from 2:00 to 5:00 at the Carltun at Eisenhower Park. This will be the only materials exhibit on Long Island this fall. Preceding SCIMEX we have two full day workshops, one for K-6 teachers and one for 7-12 teachers. Each workshop focuses on Science and Literacy in the Digital World. In light of the new Common Core ELA focus on Literacy in Science and Technical Subjects, these workshops will be particularly timely. Information on all our events can be found at our website, www.lisela.org. We hope that you will continue to support our mission of supporting quality science education on Long Island and throughout New York State by joining our organization, membership forms can also be found on our website. If you have any questions about LISELA, or questions that you would like me to ask our science associates at NYSED on our bimonthly conference calls, please contact me. Thanks

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
