Fall 2011 Program offered through a partnership program between Eastern Suffolk BOCES

and the Public Education Resource Center at Stony Brook University

Following is the description of a fall, 2011 offering for a non-credit certificate program created through a partnership between Stony Brook University and Eastern Suffolk BOCES. This 10-week program begins on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.  This is a focused series of executive seminars running on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Wang Center on the Stony Brook University campus.  Dates and topics for the program are listed below.  Rooms will be open at 5:00pm with a light dinner provided and parking validated.  This program is designed to explore and discuss topics vital to school administrators. Participants will explore a body of knowledge that will increase their professionalism and assist them in the execution of their duties.  Attendees will develop and refine their skill sets with particular attention being paid to the positions they fill in their districts.  Specific tips and tools will be covered in each seminar’s 10 sessions that will enable the participants to meet the challenge of effectively and efficiently supporting school district-wide accountability.  Certificates are awarded to participants at a dinner ceremony on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wang Center Chapel.

Cost: $1,725 per person – Eastern Suffolk BOCES

$1,840 per person – Non-Component School Districts
