Event Description

The fall edition of How to Build the Master Schedulewill be offered at Hofstra University on October 6 & 27, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in 246 East Library Wing, Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library, South Campus.  The cost is $220 for both days and includes a light breakfast and lunch.

This conference is a necessity for middle school and high school administrators who are responsible for or share involvement in building the master schedule.  The two-day workshop is designed for present and future administrators, subject area supervisors, guidance counselors, school administrators, and central office personnel.

A preeminent master schedule expert, Dr. Steven Kussin presents this interactive workshop.  He was a building administrator for 26 years, 21 as a high school principal.  Dr. Kussin has reduced the entire master schedule building process to a “generic” 12-month, 10-step model that works for schools of all sizes.  No matter what computer software you use for scheduling your school, this “how to” workshop is a must!

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
