Event Description

The LI Social and Emotional Learning Forum and Nassau BOCES are collaborating to provide this after school presentation given by Andy Peters and Pete Carney of LI Crisis Center and Mary Jalloh, Exec. Dir. of the NYS Center for School Safety.  There will be discussion  of the new legislation, with focus on impact for gay and lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth.  We will ask participants to consider potential policy and practices as pertains to their particular districts and which fit within the new law.  There is a $20 per person fee.
