KEYNOTE SPEAKER
In 2003, the Boys’ and Mens’ Athletics Division of the California Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance named him their “Secondary Educator of the Year” and in 2006, the California State Athletic Directors Association named Jim the “California State Athletic Director of the Year.” Jim is currently the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Corona High School in Corona, California.
Each high school is invited to send 4 - 6 (evenly divided between males and females) 11th grade athletes who have demonstrated varsity leadership capacity. One male and/or one female coach, the athletic director, and the principal may also attend the conference. Trained representatives from the Positive Coaching Alliance facilitate breakout groups using prepared materials.
Each school will be asked to plan and initiate at least one activity that will have a positive impact on their school community.
