Once at the Tech4classrooms website, click the NYT link provided and you can read the Feb 23rd article in the New York Times, written by the famous David Pogue- Apple columnist, article entitled:
OnLive Desktop Plus Puts Windows 7 on the iPad in Blazing Speed - State of the Art
It's a tiny app - about 5 megabytes. When you open it, you see a standard Windows 7 desktop, right there on your iPad. The full, latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Adobe Reader are set up and ready to use - no installation, no serial numbers, no pop-up balloons nagging you to update this or that.
The application just came out in Jan’12. There is a monthly cost of $5 per month. Please read the article in full, seems, fast, efficient and the ability to use Adobe-Flash and watch- VIDEO’s.
I haven't tried the download, and at the moment, I have a university-owned iPad2 with blockage for any app downloads. I am awaiting to buy my own iPad...3,( will it be called???) and await the NEW release, when?-spring'12. As mentioned in previous discussion, perhaps we will have more insight after the Apple-San Fran expo in March'12.

I've been playing with OnLive for about a week and I really like it so far. I love the fact that I can edit and display full PowerPoint presentations without a problem. Upgrading will be necessary since the only way to get my files into OnLive is via the internet as you cannot connect to Dropbox in the free version. Trust me, this is one app worth the download!
Thanks so much for responding Karrie.
Glad to hear a positive review of the app and worth the download and the difference between what's free and the upgrade to the $4.99 per month fee. To add, from the website, the monthly fee, ALSO adds the ability to see Flash enabled- VIDEO's.
Again, I haven't tried it as yet, but will, once the release of the latest iPad comes out, will it be called iPad3?
I'll "be on it!"?
I Can't do downloads on the iPad2, I presently have since blocked by the university I work for,
un-lucky me!

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
