Teachers should avoid using social media to teach students for online learning, according to Amelia Vance, director of youth and education privacy at the Future of Privacy Forum. Other educators and experts say the use of social media for teaching lessons could have legal ramifications for teachers, raises equity issues and puts student data and privacy at risk.
