From the beginning of the Russian Revolution, the Communist Party devoted vast resources and brainpower to creating the best possible advertising, public relations, marketing, propaganda, and outright lies.
The Russian Revolution was hanging in the balance for years. Probably their superior marketing kept them going. Lenin, the great orator, believed in aggressive persuasion.
From Lenin to the unrelenting propaganda of CNN, etc., it's a straight line. Brian Stelter is Lenin.

One pretty little irony I've always enjoyed: William Z Foster, in his 1932 campaign book Toward Soviet America, bragged about how his administration would destroy law firms, banks, real estate agencies, especially ad agencies, people who don't contribute anything. But advertising is the one thing the Communists have always been good at and always depended on. What would they do after they liquidated the ad agencies?
