Ignorance makes the world safe for totalitarianism
The public schools seem determined to become ever more dumbed-down. Where does this go?
As I collect examples of how ignorant our high school and college students have become, I can't help thinking: this story cannot have a happy ending.
If young people know nothing about the country's past, why would they be interested in the country? Why would they want to defend it?
Also, we have to wonder what the motive is of the Education Establishment. These people particularly hate geography and history. You could tell students today that World War II was against China and ended in 1981. You could tell them anything, that's the point. They would accept it as truth.
Seriously, if you hate the West, you'll be very proud of our Education Establishment. If you value the West, you'll want to understand the mechanisms that are destroying it.
