There are many ways that art teachers are encouraging students to create and learn about art during school closures, including having bags of art supplies to pick up during meal distribution, virtually touring galleries and museums, and using Flipgrid and Padlet so students can turn in work along with video narrations. Teachers have found success in crowdsourcing ideas by using hashtags, such as #ArtTeacherIdeas, which sometimes leads to donations of supplies.
