Welcome to the INTEL® Group!

Welcome all to the INTEL® group on Long Island School Leadership Center!

We are going to be testing this forum as a way to share local resources with others around the state training in and interested in the Intel® Teach courses. Many of you are certified Master Teachers or Master Leaders in New York. Many of you have also asked about a "space" to house additional resources to use in your training sessions. Since Ning gives us the ability to both house discussions and to save videos in the video library, it may be a good platform for future support. For now, feel free to start discussions and/or post questions about using this resource. I will be available at least twice weekly to answer questions or provide assistance. I ask that you feel free to support each other as well.

Here's to a new venture!

Thank you for your participation.

Warm regards to all of you...

A forum to discuss successful strategies for MTs is a GREAT idea. Thanks for organizing it Blanca.

Intel MTs - There is a Diigo (social bookmarking site) group called intelmt that contains many links to good resources for use in the Intel® trainings. If you are interested, take a look: http://groups.diigo.com/groups/intelmt

To: All Master Teachers:
Subject: Schedule and Order to Win a Digital Camera from the Intel® Teach Program

Dear Master Teacher,

Great news! To show our appreciation for your involvement as an Intel® Education Program Master Teacher (MT), we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win a digital camera. All MTs who schedule a Participant Teacher (PT) class online and order their PT class materials online between 5/31/08 and 8/29/08 will be entered into this drawing.

Drawing Details
A digital camera will be given away to a Master Teacher who has scheduled an Essentials Course for Participant Teachers and ordered the materials online by 5:00 pm (PST) on Friday, 8/29/08.

The winning Master Teacher will be announced via e-mail on Tuesday, 9/2/08. The digital camera is awarded for use by the winning Master Teacher – property of the winner.

Multiple entries for this drawing are possible - you will receive one entry per each class scheduled for which you have also placed the materials order request online!

More great news! Laptop drawings continue to be held quarterly to recognize MTs who complete and close a class online. If you have a Participant Teacher Course in Approved status with an End Date that falls between 5/31/08 and 8/29/08, you may also be eligible to win a laptop simply by closing your PT class and reporting the number of PTs trained online.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
