We are currently looking for alternative programs to In School Suspension. We are considering an extended after school detention, does anyone have similiar programs? Have they been effective?

Dear Tim,
In Westbury they had (a few years back) an evening alternative high school, which allowed those students who had absences to attend school at night or late afternoon for credit. I'll send you contact information as a private message. As far I could see, it was successful in helping students who had to work and miss school during the day for other reasons.
