Does anyone know of any organizations or consultants that offer professional development for teachers in teaching tolerance? I'm applying for a grant through Teaching Tolerance to try to get some teacher training for a senior English elective we're offering next year called "Humanity and Empathy." Any suggestions are appreciated.

our team has worked with educators about acceptance of others by focusing on surfacing and testing their beliefs, biases and assumptions. after 9/11 these ideas became poignant for a few of our client districts. happy to share mote if you're interested.

Mary, do you attend the Annual Prejudice Reduction conference in the city? You may find some good sources there as well: http://www.cprnys.org/

Ray, you might be connected with them already. A good friend mentioned your name just yesterday. I'm interested more in the things you are working on and will take some time to visit you site.
