Preventing Principal Burnout

In this Teachers College Record article, Columbia Teachers College professor Eleanor Drago-Severson reports on her in-depth interviews with 25 principals in a variety of schools

[I was one of them]. She explored the ways principals can renew themselves and prevent burnout and concluded that the best method is meeting regularly with other principals to reflect on practice. Significantly, only three of the school leaders in her sample were actually able to do that.
