People who speak two languages may find that they make different decisions based on which language they are using to think, according to this article about a study. Sayuri Hayakawa, an assistant professor at Northwestern University and a study co-author, says one reason for the difference is that a person may feel more emotionally connected to their first language than their second one, which can affect reasoning.
