In the latest research from Qualtrics and College Pulse, over 2,700 students were surveyed to understand key moments in the journey as students navigate their postsecondary education.
After high school, students report feeling underprepared to begin college-level coursework and are asking for more training in practical skills, or general life knowledge in addition to figuring out how to get through college. According to our latest research:
Only 32% of college students felt highly prepared for college courses after high school
Students are 45 percentage points more likely to say their education is worth the cost if it’s preparing them for the job they want after graduation
AP classes are the most common way high school students prepare for undergraduate education but those who participated in co-curricular activities report feeling the most prepared
