The College Board Advocacy and Policy Center believes in the power and commitment of teachers. In support of their work, we have released the fourth report in our Teachers Are the Center of Education series: Mentoring, Teaching and Improving Student Learning.
This report, created in partnership with the New Teacher Center and Phi Delta Kappa, presents portraits of eight teachers who are changing classrooms by mentoring those new to the profession. Their work benefits not only teachers, but, more importantly, students.
This nation is now making critical decisions about the future of our education system, including the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. If we are to make the improvements we need, we must be actively guided by the voices of teachers.
