Class activity for retrieval practice: Leave One, Add One

As we approach the end of the semester and the end of the school year, I want to share one of my favorite activities for retrieval practice: I call it Leave One, Add One. I just used it in my classroom last week.

Leave One, Add One is an engaging 30-minute activity that provides your students with spaced retrieval practice to boost their long-term learning. It’s no-stakes, a bit zany, and lots of fun.
