Grading strategy to boost springtime engagement

Students often face declining grades, interest, and well-being in the second half of the school year, but teachers can address these issues by shifting from summative grading to formative feedback, making classwork more engaging and meaningful, writes National Board Certified Teacher Miriam Plotinsky.
