Encouraging authentic writing in the age of AI

To help students develop their voices and reduce reliance on AI, educators are incorporating peer review, collaborative writing, topic choice and unique assignments, writes Jen Roberts, a Nationally Board Certified high-school English teacher. She writes that teachers can foster genuine learning while adapting to new technological challenges by engaging students in meaningful tasks, like writing a short essay comparing student artwork.
