A Day in the Life of Fourth-grade Teacher

This post looks at one teacher’s day through photographs. Brianna Weyers teaches at Richmond Elementary School in Appleton, Wisconsin, a city of 74, 000 residents. Richmond Elementary enrolls 268 students between pre-kindergarten and 6th grade. Forty-two percent of Appleton students scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 27% scored at or above that level for reading. The school’s minority student enrollment is 28% and 49% are economically disadvantaged. There are 18 full-time teachers in the school. Weyers is a new teacher and earns $52,850.
