Hello all,

I just wanted to offer a great website link: http://www.reinventingeducation.org. It is a free website sponsored by IBM and developed by Rosabeth Kanter that puts 458 links, about 85 climate and culture tools, videos and blog capacity at your disposal when trying to implement a small or big change in your district or school. It will look a bit intimidating at first but once you register and play around with it you will be astounded at its capacity.

This is a great resource and one folks should gain some experience with. Too often we are thinking of change and not taking into account its potential impact on the larger system. The key here is to understand the entire system as it exists and how any effort can have an impact. It must be thought through.

To that effort, there is an additional resource I would like to mention here from McREL. It is called "Asking the Right Questions: A School Change Toolkit" and can be found here.

Although more broad-stroked than the toolkit Dr. Bernato provides above, it provides insight in three key areas:
1) Understanding Systems: Covering what they refer to as the three domains (Technical, Personal and Organizational).
2) Resources: an index of Systems related terminology and related resources.
3) Process: Questions to ask during predictable phases of School Improvement efforts as well as sample scenarios of schools going through a change process.

Enjoy!

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
