  Dear Administrators, Teachers, School Social Workers, Psychologists and friends,
 
Hello! I hope this letter finds you winding down and planning for a relaxing and sunny summer. I am writing to tell you about my SOCIAL SKILLS TRAINING program that I will be running this summer for children ages 5-12.
 
My program S.P.E.A.K., Social Program Encouraging Amazing Kids, will begin this summer for students who need assistance in social situations. The program will be tailor made for each group/student and may include making friendships, appropriate social behavior, bully prevention and role play/temper cool down exercises. There will be Learn and Play sessions where skills will be taught and practiced in a fun environment. I will also have themed sessions i.e. manners/pizza party and DS game night! Groups will be run by myself and Melissa Rauch, a special education teacher.
 
As a school social worker working with general and special education children and families in Lindenhurst and a parent in Oceanside/Rockville Centre, I know how important social skills’ training is. Please share this information with your families before school ends so they may have the opportunity to join a group starting in July. Families need this!
