The LI SEL Forum, in collaboration with Eastern Suffolk BOCES, invites you to join us for a continuing opportunity to share information, strategies and concerns about the implementation of the Dignity Act.  This forum is provided for all Dignity Act Coordinators (DACs) and interested administrators as well as student support staff who will be assisting their schools in the implementation process. It is not necessary to have attended the prior Discussion groups. Topics will include:

  • What are the Social Emotional Learning Competencies?

  • Creating a pro-active performance culture in which school adults model positive, supportive behaviors

  • Reviewing direct instruction options for teaching students about 

civility, character education and citizenship. 

  • Creating supportive school climates that will help reduce acts of                                               

                             Bullying.

  • Questions about school safety.

There is no charge for this session. Please bring your own beverages and snacks.
