Since 1934, the LIAPTA (formerly LIATA) has been meeting and discussing issues impacting school children’s attendance and education.  The issues discussed include topics such as judicial actions, state regulations, homelessness, runaways, separation anxieties, phobias and other pertinent subjects.  

Networking with attendance related personnel with other school districts is priceless.

TOPIC: When Does Educational Neglect Need to be Reported as Neglect? How many illegal absences does is take to qualify as educational neglect?  Today’s topic will discuss CPS’s role with assisting school officials in dealing with this issue.  A review of mandated reporting will be included with today’s session.  BRING YOUR QUESTIONS TO THIS SESSION FOR OUR PANEL!
