A research letter published in JAMA Pediatrics found that incidence of long COVID is rare among children, highlighting that it occurs in less than 1% of cases. Findings, based on over 1,000 children, also showed that the most common symptoms children had after having COVID-19 included sore throat, stuffy nose, headache, cough, fever and fatigue, but symptoms resolved within 10 weeks following a positive PCR test result.
