From Larry Ferlazzo

The New York Times Learning Network shares lots of amazing stuff.

However, I think their Tiny Memoir contest is one of the best if not THE best, and most useful resource they share with teachers.

I know many teachers, including those at my school, who use it with their students.

It challenges students to write 100-word memoirs.

You can read all about their new contest here, and see the winning entries from last year here.

They provide plenty of supporting materials for teachers to use.
