More high schools are doing away with senior-class polls, which often include a "Most Likely to Succeed" award that recipients say can lead to undue pressure and self-doubt. While research shows the title to be a somewhat reliable predictor of later success, one poll showed that roughly a third of those who had received such an award later felt it had been a "curse."
