School in the Cloud is a documentary about Sugata Mitra, the education reformer and 2013 TED Prize winner whose big ideas on self-organized learning lead him to create the world's first School in the Cloud, a series of virtual learning labs for children. Filmed by acclaimed British director Jerry Rothwell, the winner of the first annual Sundance Institute | TED Prize Filmmaker Award, the documentary follows the bold Newcastle University professor from the slums of India and villages of Cambodia to schools in the United Kingdom where Mitra's groundbreaking work offers an intriguing new future for learning, one that values a child's natural capacity for intellectual exploration.
