John Green is simply awesome and he certainly has the ear (and the eyes) of a great many of the students that need our nurturing in school: those who are thinking deeply (regardless of their GPAs). In all schools the Honors/High Flyers get a good deal of attention, but those students who are developing more slowly or along more idiosyncratic ways (what use to be the Square Pegs) need our mentorship, too.
