Don't call it a classroom: Kevin Brookhouser at TEDxMonterey

Kevin Brookhouser is a humanities and technology teacher at York School, in Monterey and serves the York faculty as the coordinator for academic technology. Kevin is a Google Certified Teacher and Trainer, a Computer Using Educators (CUE) Lead Learner, and a National Association of Independent Schools Teacher of the Future. Kevin is the founder of GRMR.ME, a resource that helps teachers and students tackle many of the most common writing errors through short irreverent YouTube videos. He also hosts the weekly podcast The Google Educast on Thursday evenings within the EdReach network at EdReach.us.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
