I believe that a speech-language pathologist’s job is to improve a student’s speech and language skills in any way that will benefit the student. I take into account a student’s learning style and interests. This will keep that student engaged in a lesson, aware of the skill that is being targeted, and focused on improving and generalizing these skills. Collaboration and differentiation of instruction are invaluable skills that aid me in obtaining these goals. My dedication to improving and generalizing each student’s skills will be an asset to a school community.
