You probably have read about ESA, right? The emotional support animal is recommended by health professional for people with psychological and mental disorder. Who are these health professionals? These licensed mental health specialists may be a psychologist, psychiatrist, or therapist. When it comes to any professionals, it should always be guaranteed that their credentials are legitimate. In order to avoid any possible deceit by people who just simply want to bring their pets, some establishments or airlines, verifies the authenticity of the ESA letter and calls the author of the letter.

Fortunately, you do not have to secure an ESA letter per establishment or per month. It usually lasts for a long period of time. But of course, the issue date of the ESA letter should not exceed past 1 year. It would be best to present a recent letter to the authorities. It would be that hard, right? Also, do not forget to bring any documents that have the important information about your pet. This is just to be sure that if in case the authorities on a specific establishment or airline that prohibits pets will ask for a proof of vaccine or any health records, you are ready. This would also help you to avoid any delays or hassle. Moreover, it is not required but it would be great if you could potty train your pets. Why? Who would want to see poop on any kind of establishment? You probably even don't want to pick your pet's poop and keep it, right? It would be great to avoid those kinds of instances as a sign of courtesy.

Parts of an ESA letter

What are the things that an ESA letter should contain? Does it have a specific format? What are the most important points or information that really needed to be present on the letter? It should be stated that the patient's mental health condition is included in DMV-IV. These are the conditions that limit one or even multiple major life activities of the patient substantially. The person writing the letter should be certified. He or she should also include all the details regarding his or her license specifically their profession, date, state, and type. He or she should also certify that the patient really needs an ESA with them as a part or the treatment and that patient is under his or her care. Most of all don't forget to check the date.
