This resource offers an array of topics that focus on effective and proven teaching and leading strategies. This New York CTE Learn portal is the entry point to dozens of free and subscriptions lessons. These are short, engaging, and practical lessons to strengthen your skills.
In addition to the free lessons, New York educators can purchase any of the subscription course at a discount. CTE Learn online learning network offers over 150 self-paced courses for CTE professionals. Participants can enroll in any lesson at any time to meet their individual learning needs. One of the best features of the new portal is the ability to add New York specific lessons to this portal in one convenient location. The CTE Technical Assistance Center is working with your professional associations to format and upload content that will be available in the months ahead.
One of the first New York efforts will be for CTE Administrators as part of a new ACTEA Mentor program. Teacher lesson plans are also in the works. If you have questions about New York CTE Learn or want more information on authoring lessons, contact Dick Jones. A companion tool of CTE Learn is the Career Ed Lounge. This is a free online discussion site to share ideas and best practices with CTE educators with a common interest. There are dozens of topics and discussion groups in the Career Lounge. Take time to check out the new site and explore all that it offers. One of the free tools several teachers are exploring is CareerPrepped, which is a free online career development site you can use with your students.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
