Great resources where you can access and share educational video content

Here are some great resources where you can access and share educational video content. These are websites and YouTube channels that provide mind-illuminating content covering a wide spectrum of topics from education and philosophy to biology and natural sciences.  You may want want to use them to enhance your professional and self development, expand your knowledge and gain new perspectives.  You can also use them to search for educational video content to share with your students in class.

1- TED 


TED is probably one of the most popular platforms that provides inspiring and educational video content out there. It features influential talks from renowned speakers and thinkers on various topics. These talks are also available with subtitles in more than 100 languages.

2- RSA Animate 


‘RSA’s (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts) mission is 21st century enlightenment via enriching society by innovative and creative ideas. Besides TED talks, the RSA Animate series on YouTube provides some of the most viewed educational video content out there. It uses professionally designed animations by Cognitive Media to illustrate world-changing ideas shared by leading thinkers and scholars in RSA’s free event programme.’

3- Khan Academy


The popular Khan Academy is a real treasure trove of world knowledge. It provides  over 10.000 videos and explanations covering math, science, history, economics, and many more.

4- Veritasium


‘Veritasium is a channel of science and engineering videos featuring experiments, expert interviews, cool demos, and discussions with the public about everything science.’

5- Vsauce

Vsauce is another excellent YouTube channel featuring  a wide variety of educational video content. It has playlists on knowledge, physics, human behaviour, space, earth and many more.

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence.
