Today’s already a great day! Someone from the office brought in homemade granola shaped like a heart—adding some extra love to our workday. It’s the little things that brighten up the routine and remind us that kindness and creativity go a long way.

I usually write a little handwritten note on routine forms I approve for staff - e.g., a request for a personal day to care for a sick parent - hoping all goes well. That kind of little touch that means you see the requester as a person with feelings and a real life, not just a "worker."
