3 ways to encourage prosocial behaviors at school
Students tend to have better academic outcomes when they engage in prosocial behaviors, researchers say. Eighth-grade English teacher Cathleen Beachboard suggests that teachers have students make happiness boards to remind themselves of positive memories; journal regularly about gratitude; and perform random acts of kindness.
