I have been an Assistant Principal at Urban Assembly Media High School (UAM) for the past five years. I have completed my undergraduate degree in Behavioral Studies (B.A.) at Concordia College, Master of Special and General Education (M.S.ed, Sp.ed) at Touro College, School Building Leader (SBL) and School District Leader (SDL) advanced study certificates at The College of St. Rose. I am currently working on my Doctorate (Ed.D) at Concordia University. I was accepted to the New York City Principal Candidate Pool in November 2011. I was previously a United Federation of Teachers (UFT) delegate and executive board member; currently hold a Legislative District Coordinator position for the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA). I am a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), and the American Association of School Administrators (AASA). Prior to my career as an educator, I worked for seven years in the Social Service field as a youth developer, child protective specialist (CPS), therapeutic social worker, domestic violence counselor, and adoption specialist.
