I am the founder & driving force behind HOPE The Students' Bridge To Business.HOPE helps students transition from school to business. I have been making presentations to students in high school, college, graduate school and middle school.

My presentations are instructional and motivational...the reason students pay attention, listen, learn and remember is because I am able to 'connect' with the in the first few minutes of meeting them. Student love hearing stories and experiences from my life because they support the content in the presentations.

Students learn the HOPE 4 Skills Every Student Needs: Interpersonal, Communication, Presentation and Selling. These are cornerstone skills which prepare students to meet, connect with, earn support from and work effectively with the one constant in business ...PEOPLE. Students with these skills will have a competitive edge in business.

Every student can learn these skills regardless of their social, cultural or economic background, grades, class rank or test scores.

The HOPE website www.hopeskills.com contains video and written testimonials from students, teachers and parents in addition to information about my business experience and background.

HOPE acronyms and Theories reinforce the content of my presentations and help students remember what they hear.

I welcome inquiries from educators, parents, organizations such at PTA's and other groups who want students to have a competitive edge when they get into business.

"I have no idea what I want to do"

I heard this comment from a 22 year-old college graduate. He’s a bright, engaging, confident young man who played collegiate sports. Yet, he doesn’t know how to go about finding a job that he thinks he’d…

A radio commentator recently spoke about unemployment rates in certain states …overall, the employment landscape doesn’t look good! He said people are frustrated by sending their resumes out and having the resumes ‘scanned’ by computers, not people. Are you one of those frustrated people? If so, remember, computer resume scanning eliminates your…

I attended an event last week at Smithtown West High School in Smithtown, Long Island. It was the 17th year, that’s rightthe 17th year for the Smithtown School of Business Annual Business Olympics. Over 200 high school students from both Smithtown High School East and Smithtown High School West participated in teams. The students presented their concept for a new business in the field of “Apps”. If you don’t know what an App is, it’s something…

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
