Baltimore City Public Schools seeks an individual with visionary leadership and strong collaborative management skills to lead its district of 85,000 students. Baltimore City Public Schools has an established culture of striving for excellence through reform. A portfolio of diverse school options, committed outside partners, and innovative performance contracts for principals and teachers are examples of the forward progress the district has made. The system has also recently embarked upon an unprecedented ten-year construction program with City and State partners to improve or rebuild its school facilities. Baltimore City Public Schools seeks a leader who can continue this reform momentum and significantly raise achievement for all of its students.
The salary will be in the range of $290,000 plus an excellent comprehensive benefits package. The final salary for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications and meeting Board criteria.
