The 13th Annual School Leadership Seminar Series . . .

  • ·       Monday, February 13th – Leading Through Change: Curriculum and the Common Core  [PRESENTERS:  Joe Prisinzano (Jericho HS) and Michael Harrington (Mepham HS)]
  • ·       Wednesday, March 14th – Leading Through Change: Assessment at the Local Level  [PRESENTERS:  Susan Elliott (Great Neck South HS) and Kevin Scanlon (Roslyn HS)]
  • ·       Wednesday, April 18th – Leading Through Change: Evaluation and APPR  [PRESENTERS:  Neil Connolly (Carle Place HS) and Dennis O’Hara (Oyster Bay HS)]

Bring aspiring administrators from your school to this series!  The three sessions focus on the principal’s role in developing leadership capacities within the school constituencies of parents, students and teachers.  The high school principals listed above lead each session and provide current insights, applications and discussion related to the topics. 

To encourage more principals and aspiring administrators to attend, the cost has been reduced!  The fee for an individual seminar is $45 per person.  A school may also purchase a membership for $125, which allows for one individual to attend each seminar; the same individual from a school does not have to attend all three seminars.  Schools may purchase multiple memberships.

  • ·       Each session runs from 4 – 6:30 p.m.
  • ·       The location for each seminar is:  246 East Library Wing, Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library, South Campus, Hofstra University
  • ·       Cost includes registration, materials, and dinner.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
